A gem in Washington Heights

During an event called the Open House New York weekend in October, we can visit places with architectural and design significances in the city that are not open to the public on the regular basis. Since I got off of my tour guide duty at St. Michael's Church much earlier than I expected, I decided to explore the city myself. One of the places that was on the OHNY's list was a gem in Washington Heights called Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. When I set my foot in the chapel, I immediately got teary-eyed in awe. Their tour guide was incredibly nice and knowledgeable, I could just feel his love for this place. I look forward to taking advantage of the OHNY weekend next year as well. You never know what wonders you may discover.
